Leading carbon farming service provider, Climate Friendly, is delighted to announce a new acquisition partnership with major soil carbon company, Australian Soil Management (ASM).
The combined expertise and wealth of carbon farming and nature repair experience will help land managers across Australia to manage their natural capital, improve their agricultural productivity and engage in carbon farming and nature repair projects.
Climate Friendly Co-CEO Josh Harris says the soil expertise of the ASM team adds to the depth of land sector services offered by Climate Friendly.
“Our shared values and similar partnership approach mean together we can help land managers improve their natural capital through sustainable practices to create healthy soils and, as a result, more productive and resilient agricultural enterprises,” he said.
ASM founders Dr Greg Bender and Norman Marshall say Climate Friendly was a clear partner of choice because of its broad expertise, gained through supporting more than one hundred and sixty carbon farming projects across ten million hectares.
“The many projects Climate Friendly support are contributing to more productive and drought resilient agricultural operations. ASM wants to be a part of that important drive to scale up carbon farming and improve overall landscape health,” Mr Marshall said.
Dr Bender says joining Climate Friendly is a win for Australian land managers.
“ASM brings deep scientific understanding and practical on-the-ground soil carbon management experience to Climate Friendly. This matters as soil health, ecosystem condition and agricultural productivity are all inextricably linked. We know soil carbon will play a key role in building resilience to climate change by revitalising depleted soils and helping land managers maximise outcomes for nature and for their businesses,” he said.
Southern NSW grazier Gillian Sanbrook looks forward to partnering with Climate Friendly on her soil project, which commenced on her 950-hectare property in mid-2024.

Climate Friendly Co-CEO Skye Glenday says the acquisition partnership enables Climate Friendly to offer agricultural producers the expert and tailored support they need to participate in the next-generation method of integrated carbon farming known as IFLM, which is expected to be introduced in 2025.
