Lina Maria Garcia Florez
Lina is a forestry specialist who in the last 10 years has worked in a range of disciplines including; forestry operations, native forest inventories, protected area management plans, conservation of natural resources and fieldwork research for projects in water resources, transportation, infrastructure and hydro-electricity.
Lina has also participated in the establishment of plots and surveys for carbon sequestration monitoring and other biodiversity studies under REDD and MDL initiatives in Colombian forests. She has performed fieldwork, laboratory work and data processing for germination protocols of tree species.
Her work has involved experience in a range of different locations, including Australia, Colombia and the Amazon Rainforest. Recently and she has been working on the formulation of Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Management Plans in Colombia.
